Voting

Hello, Hello, Hello.

No other mission this time (sick leave… :-) ).
Do you remember from the post about linguist’s podcast?
In the basis of this text and it’s remarkables equalities phrases, in groups we had to create a new story that we would record and relate in turn.
There were 4 stories by groups and like there were 2 groups it made … … . … .. 8 recordings.
Now in each groups everybody have to vote for his prefered story in the other group keeping in mind that stories must be evaluated on criterias:
- Quantity of expressions used (from “the linguist”)

- Originality of story

- Quality of English (Grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation)

- Team work

Here is the story of my group (Aurore, Mélanie, Ludivine, Virginie, Julie T), that I feel it finds its power in the last five words. No more talks, ENJOY IT:

The text version :

“Yesterday I went to my weekly rendez-vous with my psychologist. I’m used to talk a lot. But this time, my psychologist stopped listening to me and started crying. At this moment I didn’t understand. . Usually he does a good job. Indeed, he is the best I have ever met. On the other hand seeing him crying was rather funny.(Me)

He told me his whole life. He came to Australia as a 9 years old, 30 years ago when his mother died. Then his father found a new wife and went to another country and let him alone. He never finds happiness.(Aurore)

He went to psychology school and then worked for an office for 5 years, in different locations in the city. He got to know the personalities of different kinds of clients.(Mélanie)

He opened his own office in Sydney. He said that he made sure to hear about all the problems that his clients were worried in. He knew that if patients liked him, they would come back. (Ludivine)

I had trouble understanding what he was talking about because he couldn’t stop crying. People who are not used to crying speaking must have trouble understanding him.(Virginie)

At the end, after an hour of cry and scream, he stopped talking and then I told him : « I have a big secret to reveal to you LUKE, I AM YOUR FATHER ! » (Julie)

From stories in TD2, I prefer the story 2, funny, good team work and prononciation (Quacks…Quacking… :-) ), a quite good using of original text words, “what else?” just an expresso.
